EA has just announced that Bad Company 2 has sold a record breaking 5 million copies after being on the market for just two months. This surpasses all-time sales of the first game, which are rumored to be around 4 million. As we reported earlier, it took the game just three weeks to reach 2.3 million units sold.

Furthermore, EA revealed that the downloadable-only title Battlefield 1943 has sold 1.5 million copies on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

EA’s expects additional earnings wiht a lineup of DLC for Bad Company 2, which will be the most extensive DLC for a Battlefield game to date.

EA has proudly announced that Battlefield Bad Company 2 has sold 2.3 million units so far this month, making it by far the best selling game in March. The game was released on March 4, and EA and DICE have been strongly promoting it ever since. Sales are expected to top 3 million by the end of March across all platforms.
