EA has proudly announced that the Bad Company 2 demo which was released on the Xbox 360 and PS3 just two weeks ago, has been downloaded over 3.5 million times. Here are some stats from the demo:
3.5 Million downloads
500 Million kills
100 Million vehicle kills
15 Million knife kills
30 Million destroyed vehicles
10 Million head shots
25 Million revives
According to DICE, the demo runs only until February 25, after which the game servers will be shut down and all focus will be towards the full game, which is scheduled for a March 2 release.
DICE has released a demo walkthrough of Bad Company 2 (the demo is out on the PS3 and Xbox 360), which centers around the same map PC players have been testing the beta on: Port Valdez. It does a good explanation of the tactics, objectives and skills needed to play the game, and is a good watch if you’re not familiar with the game.
PC gamers are enjoying the PC beta, Xbox 360 gamers are enjoying the demo, and now PS3 owners, after successfully going through the beta, will be getting a demo of the game as well, EA announced today. The demo will be the same as Xbox 360 owners saw last week, and will be released tomorrow on the PlayStation Network.
