Bad Company 2 has gotten a new iPhone app, which offers lots of information about BC2. Called the “Bad Company 2 Ultimate Utility App”, it offers loads of information on kits, weapons, maps and so on. Sadly, there isn’t a feature to view your stats and awards. The good new is, it’s free.

DICE has released a brand new Bad Company 2 wallpaper, base don the new Onslaught mode (which PC users unfortunately won’t have). Click the image for the full sized wallpaper (1920 x 1200).
DICE has revealed the global stats for consoles — Xbox 360 and PS3 — taken from the official stats page, and they compare the Xbox 360 vs PlayStation 3 stats, and as you can see, it seems that there are a bit more Xbox 360 players, but that PS3 players seem to be better at getting tog dags, at least compared to the amount of time they played.

A Russian spray paint artist — and a talented one at that — took some artwork of Bad Company 2 and spray painted it on a BMW X5 SUV, and the results are quite impressive, although we wish the art covered the entire car.

EA and DICE have released the official fan kit, with a set of Bad Company 2 graphics and media which can be used to make fan sites etc. There are wallpapers as well, from desktop to iPhones. You can download the kit at battlefieldbadcompany2.com/downloads

According to game blog Joystiq, it takes an average of 282 hours to reach rank 50 in Bad Company 2, citing data from game analytics company Orbus Gameworks. Here’s how much time player spent on the individual ranks:
- Rank 1-10 players spent 3-24 hours in game
- Rank 11-20 players spent 25-44 hours in game
- Rank 21-30 players spent 48-100 hours in game
- Rank 31-40 players spent 111-221 hours in game
- Rank 41-50 players spent 228-295 hours in game

- You injure or cut yourself and think of shouting “MEDIC!”
- You stay clear of open spaces in fear of snipers
- Every small box reminds you of ammo or health packs
- Instead of opening doors, you want to cut them open with your knife
- You want to blow a hole in the wall instead of using the entrance
- If you’re outside, you try and spot every object, even birds in the sky
- You try and arm your fridge
- You’re waiting in front of your house for your car to respawn
- You see green and orange indicators above people in your life
- Every time you’re outside, you’re scanning the sky of enemy choppers
- When a suspicious vehicle drives by and you yell “Enemy vehicle spotted!”
